Notes on Solubility: The Truth.

Many people are confused about different chemicals and their solubility. When speaking of a fat-soluble chemical, it merely means that the chemical will travel through non-polar substances such as fat cells positively to reach the bloodstream.  This process happens during digestion in the lymphatic system, and as such you do not need to take Aniracetam or any other “fat-soluble” chemical with oil or with food in order for it to work. We have fat storage in our bodies at all times, so assuming that you need to take extra with your chemicals is foolish and a strange myth to continue for so long. One other fact about fat-soluble chemicals i that if they are taken in excess our body stores them in our body tissue, so taking large doses of fat-soluble chemicals like Aniracetam and Pramiracetam will cause our bodies to store it to be released at a time when our body can handle more. This happens very rarely with Aniracetam, but the low dosage of Pramiracetam can cause this to happen in some cases. This can cause a delayed or repeating reaction without taking a second dose of the chemical.

Water-soluble chemicals can travel through water, which makes up over 70% of our body, and have been known to be more fast acting when taken orally because it is available to travel through the intestinal walls to our bloodstream directly. The breakdown is such:

Water-Soluble: Faster digestion, lower potency, lower half-life.

Fat-Soluble: Slower digestion, higher potency, higher half-life.

Aniracetam is an exception to this rule only due to its actual chemical compound and not its fat-solubility.


Nootropic: Oxiracetam

Oxiracetam- another biochemical that is part of the “racetam” family. Oxiracetam was developed intermittently between Piracetam and Aniracetam. Oxiracetam is chemically weaker then Aniracetam, but as is known for all the types, each one has their own particular effects. For some, Oxiracetam effects them much more then Aniracetam would. The chemical formula is C6H10N2O3. Oxiracetam has a higher affinity towards memory, and has been said to more efficiently effect these parts of your brain. Doses can range from 800mg to 4000mg, but also has an extremely low toxicity, so supplementation beyond that is not extremely rare. The half-life of Oxiracetam is roughly 8 hours in healthy people and is water-soluble.

Oxiracetam seems to have a interesting effect when stacked with Aniracetam that does not follow with other racetams. When I find scientific evidence for this I will, but from my experience, taking Oxiracetam and Aniracetam together it brings me to a different place that even Pramiracetam can’t reproduce. I have stacked Piracetam, Oxiracetam, Aniracetam, and Pramiracetam in couplets in every combination possible, and Oxiracetam and Aniracetam together have an enlightened effect on me. I feel as if my mind is going a mile a minute, but that everything is okay because my brain is keeping up with it. This could be a personal effect or an effect of the two combined naturally. Will update as more information comes.

Nootropic Toxicity

Toxicity is always an issue to be covered when supplementing as there are some chemicals that walk a fine line between benefiting and damaging your body. Nootropics in particular happen to be known for having an extremely low toxicity in most cases. It is possible to not only overdose, but go much farther then that. Studies to find the toxicity levels of racetams led to very optimistic results. When tested on rats through IV, they reached levels as high at 8g/kg and orally up to 10g/kg with no toxic effects.

This can translate to roughly 1 to 1.5 pounds of chemical for a 150 pound man to dose. This and other studies brought scientists to consider chemicals such as these “safer then salt” and can be taken almost ad nauseum. If a supplement I study and write on is dangerous in higher doses that does not mirror the toxicity of nootropics I will state so.

Your Brain: Acetylcholine

Acetylcholine is a biochemical and functions as a neurotransmitter. It is created in your brain by Cholinergic neurons but must attach to a receptor site in order to carry a signal. Acetylcholine carries tiny electrical signals through the space in between neurons, known as a synapse. It is also a transportation vessel for signals traveling from the brain to a muscle cell, where it triggers muscle contractions.

There are two types of acetylcholine receptors, nicotinic and muscarinic. While both react to Acetylcholine, the nicotinic receptors, as you would expect, react to nicotine, the common chemical that attributes to cigarettes’ addictiveness.

Acetylcholine also has a large hand in regulating memory in the brain, and can be synthesized from Choline, and supplementing with Choline can help induce this reaction along with other chemicals.

Nootropic: Aniracetam

Aniracetam- a chemical created in the 1970’s after the popular Piracetam in order to allow user to take lower dosages and receive similar effects. The chemical compound is C12H13NO3. The effects of Aniracetam, like its predecessor is difficult to measure, but it sits in its own niche by having a greater effect on goal-oriented behavior. Aniracetam can produce what is known as Brain Fog. A symptom of choline deficiency which can be easily suppressed by taking a secondary supplement to balance yourself out. The half-life of Aniracetam is rather short, roughly 2 hours. Aniracetam is also fat soluble.

–Effects of Aniracetam include:

A “smoothing” effect in the mind that leads to an easier recall of memory, and a faster comprehension speed when taking in new information.

Increases the brain’s ability to process acetylcholine, an organic neurotransmitter which has been proven to have a large hand in regulating mental function and attention.

An increase in neuronal activity, especially in the parts of the brain that deal with short-term memory and attention-span.

An increase in neuro-connection speed between the brain and the muscular system, assisting active reflex muscle use.

Aniracetam helps improve cognition and attention in the mind, and allows our body to more readily receive the signals for twitch muscle function.

I have found that Aniracetam works very well in the short term in 1500mg doses, but if taken in overdose can cause shivering and light tremors due to its over-effect on the muscular system.

–About the Effects

It is very likely most users wont feel an initial difference between baseline and the effects of Aniracetam the first (few) times it is taken. For the best way to notice results, try out the dosage on day, and write a paragraph about how you feel an hour after. The next day, do the same without taking Aniracetam and notice the subtle differences. It is something that can greatly improve how you focus on things. I find myself much more capable to focus on a singular topic until completion when under its effects.
